Attendance Management Policy
Official Working Hours:
- Cairo Offices: 9:00 AM To 5:30 PM including half an hour break.
- Somabay Offices: 8:00 AM -5:00 PM including one hour break.
- Golf Maintenance & Landscape Departments: 6:00 AM-3:00 PM including one hour break.
- Shift working hours are predetermined for each department.
Sign IN/OUT:
- Attendance is verified through time attendance machines located in Cairo and Somabay offices.
- These machines are linked directly to the attendance system which calculates the employees’ attendance; hence any manual signatures and/ or manual timesheets won’t be accepted.
- Signing IN and OUT is obligatory for all employees according to the official working hours.
- Employee clocking in for less than the official working hours will get a Pro-rotated salary accordingly.
- Missing Sign IN and/or OUT:
- Failure to Sign IN and/or OUT will result in a deduction of one day’s salary for each missed time.
- However, we understand that there may be situations where an employee may miss Signing IN/OUT due to unforeseen circumstances. In such cases, we will allow one missed time per month {Signing IN or Signing OUT} without any deduction from salary.
- Executive Level – Chief Officers are exempted from Sign IN and OUT.
Tardiness:
- Tardiness of more than one hour will result in a deduction of one day’s salary.
- We will allow up to one flexible hour to Sign IN conditioned that you complete the required official hours for the day. Line Manager has the authority to approve or reject based on business need. In such cases, the line manager can apply the appropriate penalty as per the disciplinary policy according to labor law.
Permissions:
- Permission for late sign-in or early sign-out should be pre-approved by the line manager.
- Permissions are open for a maximum of 2 times per month, up to 3 hours per permission.
- No permission is allowed if the employee has to work on official holidays.
Business Trips:
- Official working hours are counted based on the business trip location. i.e., Cairo employees on business trips to Somabay should report to work according to Somabay working hours and vice versa.
- Signing IN and OUT according to official working hours is obligatory during the whole business trip.
Working on Weekends and Official Holidays:
- Official Holidays are communicated through HR according to the Government Official Decree.
- Employees who worked on weekends and/or official holidays get floater days or double pay based on job class and line manager approval.
- Floater days to be consumed throughout the same calendar year. No carryover is allowed beyond the calendar year in which they occurred.
